First off, I/we live in a gem of a state. Arizona has my heart right now.
My long time friend Naeemah visited with her son, J. I had to take them to Sedona. We had a fantastic time there and were fully content...
Naeemah was plotting, two days later I randomly found myself on the road to Page, Arizona to see ALLLLL THE CANYONNSSSSS. To see, e v e r y t h i n g, lol. Feels like we saw everything. Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe, Grand Canyon and all the sights in between. The landscape changed so much. I loved watching Naeemah's face as she took it all in. Emotional.
We were both in the front seats taking in the views and getting our lives and our sons were in the back fighting over video games, we couldn't hear them (yes we could, lol.) But when we would all get out of the car - pure joy. I can't wait for them to have these photos to reminisce. I couldn't imagine experiencing this type of greatness at 4 or 12.
Also, I wouldn't recommend taking a 4 year old to Horseshoe Canyon, S T R E S S. But, other than that, like I was saying...pure joy.
