I'm posting because we went to Sedona a couple of weeks ago and I want to share some of the photos. But first and foremost I need to introduce the love of my life, my right hand, the best dad my son could ever have, Allen! Allen is all of those things in addition to being my second shooter. 9 times out of 10 if the job calls for it he's there double shooting or helping with light or vice versa.
He's also the reason we went to Sedona. Allen and I have been drooling over images of Sedona for the longest and so I thought it would make the perfect little birthday getaway. Enough talk, here are some photos!
When we got there we explored a little and ate breakfast, got lost but it's OK b/c mostly everything is beautiful in Sedona, lol. We went to go see where we were going to stay which was a tent with a bed in it in someone's backyard garden. We were not fully prepared for the awesome that was their garden. A part of me wanted to trash our plans to explore and chill in the garden for the rest of the night instead, lol.
OK, bare with me here. Again, we slept in a tent in a garden and there was also a trailer back there that had a shower and sink and portable burners if we wanted to cook something. And right by our tent we had our own little composting toilet.
I think composting toilets are great! But listen, neither of us had ever used one before and Allen had to pee so I had to quickly YouTube "how to use a composting toilet." Just so you know, there is sawdust in the orange bucket, you do your thing and cover your things with the sawdust and there are no weird smells. :)
We ended our first day there hiking the airport vortex trail during sunset.
Hope to return many times. :)))
There are a few more photos from our trip on my Instagram.
